Switch between Competitive and Authentic presets, each built for a different way to play.

Competitive is tuned for head-to-head action in Ultimate Team and Clubs, with faster passing, smarter keeper rebounds and more direct control.

Authentic brings a true-to-football feel to modes like Career, featuring more positionally-responsible defenders, realistic corner success rates, lifelike goalmouth scrambles and more.

Informed by the FC community, game-wide changes deliver more responsive dribbling, smarter AI positioning, re-tuned run curves for more explosive players movement, improved ball shielding, close-body volumetric animations and more.

Smarter, more consistent goalkeepers

Goalkeepers react naturally through volumetric animations, a new level of deflection control, and technical improvements to handling and decision making.

Reinforcement-Learning Positioning uses machine learning to analyse attacking scenarios and adjusting the goalkeeper's stance accordingly.
